Sweden's 2026 parliamentary election on September 13 features stable polling trends that position the Sweden Democrats as the clear frontrunner for second place. Recent surveys from Novus, Indikator, and Demoskop place the Social Democrats first at roughly 32 percent, the Sweden Democrats second near 20 percent, and the Moderates third around 17 percent, with the left-leaning bloc holding a lead over the governing Tidö alliance. This ordering has held through the spring and summer, reflecting limited movement in voter intentions and the Sweden Democrats' consistent edge over the Moderates within the right-leaning group. Traders' heavy weighting toward the Sweden Democrats for second place aligns with these patterns and the absence of late catalysts that would reorder the top three parties.
