National Weather Service forecasts for New York City point to a high of 77–80°F on September 12 under partly cloudy to mostly sunny conditions, following a cool northerly flow after recent warmth. Model consensus shows limited daytime heating from lighter winds, increasing cloud cover, and dew points in the mid-50s that cap surface temperatures near the historical average of 77.7°F. Traders favor the 78–79°F bin because ensemble runs cluster there, though minor shifts in timing of any residual moisture or insolation could push readings into the adjacent 76–77°F or 80–81°F ranges. Updated model guidance and afternoon observations will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
