The Michigan U.S. Senate race between Republican nominee Mike Rogers and Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed remains tightly contested heading into the November general election, with recent polling averages showing El-Sayed ahead by roughly 1-3 points statewide. Grand Traverse County’s outcome hinges on similar dynamics, including voter turnout in this northern Michigan swing area, where local economic concerns, healthcare policy differences, and candidate attacks have intensified. Rogers has focused messaging on national security and accused El-Sayed of extremist associations, while El-Sayed has highlighted affordability and labeled Rogers a corporate insider. A recent debate scheduling dispute and ongoing primary aftermath divisions among Democrats add uncertainty, keeping trader consensus on the county winner closely balanced without a decisive local polling edge.
