This market will resolve according to how much "The End of Oak Street" Opening Weekend Box Office will gross domestically on its opening weekend. The "Daily Box Office Performance" figures found on the “Box Office” tab on this movie's The Numbers (https://www.the-numbers.com/) page will be used to resolve this market once the values for the 3-day opening weekend (August 14 - August 16) are final (i.e., not studio estimates). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Please note, this market will resolve according to the The Numbers figures provided under Weekend Box Office Performance for the 3-day weekend (which typically includes Thursday's previews), regardless of whether domestic refers to only the USA, or to USA and Canada, etc. If there is ambiguity as to whether the resolution source's figures are final, this market will remain open until both https://www.boxofficemojo.com/ and https://www.the-numbers.com/ have confirmed their finalized figures. If there is no final data available by August 21, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, another credible resolution source will be chosen. The End of Oak Street’s market-implied 20-23 million opening weekend rests on pre-release tracking of 18-23 million, an $8.1 million opening day from roughly 3,400 theaters, and studio projections that have held steady despite competition from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Positive reviews (84 percent on Rotten Tomatoes) and a B CinemaScore for the Warner Bros. sci-fi survival film starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor have supported modest expectations for an original non-franchise title, yet its high production budget and timing in a crowded summer frame have capped upside. Traders see limited room for variance because early audience data and comparable original releases point to a contained debut rather than breakout legs. An upset above 23 million would require stronger-than-expected word-of-mouth or a steeper hold than recent mid-budget genre entries, while anything below 20 million would need further softening from competing family titles like PAW Patrol.
