Recent short-range forecast model runs for Zhengzhou show ensemble spreads centered on 26–29°C maxima under mostly cloudy skies with light southerly winds and minimal precipitation, producing closely matched market-implied probabilities across those thresholds. Seasonal climatology places mid-September daily highs near 26–27°C, while current synoptic conditions—persistent cloud cover and modest moisture—limit strong diurnal heating and introduce uncertainty in the precise peak value depending on any afternoon clearing. Official surface observations from the China Meteorological Administration tomorrow will resolve the market, with traders weighting the latest GFS and ECMWF guidance against historical analogs for similar late-summer patterns.
