This market will resolve according to the candidate who receives the most valid votes from Ramsey County in the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate from Minnesota, which is scheduled to be held on August 11, 2026. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the Ramsey County results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other." This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Minnesota including the Minnesota Secretary of State and the government of Ramsey County.Peggy Flanagan secured the Democratic nomination for Minnesota's U.S. Senate seat after winning the August 11 primary, including a decisive margin in Ramsey County. Her commanding position stems from securing the Minnesota DFL endorsement at the state convention, backing from retiring Sen. Tina Smith and prominent progressives, and strong performance among core Democratic voters in urban and suburban areas. Angie Craig, positioned as a moderate with appeal in competitive districts, trailed significantly despite fundraising and some national support. Other listed candidates remained marginal throughout. Late developments such as official canvassing results, any successful recount petitions, or unforeseen legal challenges to certification could theoretically alter the final tally, though historical precedent shows such reversals are rare in Minnesota primaries.
