Recent polling from August 2026 shows the Parti Québécois maintaining a clear lead in voting intentions at around 30 percent, ahead of the Quebec Liberal Party and Coalition Avenir Québec, with seat projections from models like 338Canada assigning PQ a strong likelihood of securing the most seats or a majority in the October 5 election. This positioning reflects sustained francophone support and the CAQ's decline following leadership transition after François Legault's resignation. Nearly half of voters remain undecided, leaving room for shifts, though consistent survey trends and historical patterns of incumbent erosion underpin trader consensus reflected in current market pricing.
