Current National Weather Service and private model consensus points to a sunny, hot day in Dallas on September 8 with highs near 100–102°F under light southerly flow and minimal cloud cover. Persistent above-average warmth—recent days have reached 100°F—stems from strong high pressure and elevated dew points that limit nocturnal cooling while supporting afternoon peaks. Heat indices may exceed 106°F, but the maximum dry-bulb temperature hinges on exact timing of peak heating and any subtle model spread in boundary-layer mixing. Updated NWS forecasts and afternoon observations will refine the final reading before market resolution.
