Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Atlanta on August 30 points to overnight lows in the low 70s, driven by light southeast winds, elevated dew points near 70°F, and patchy fog that curbs radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies. These conditions limit how far temperatures fall after sunset, keeping the daily minimum clustered near 70–74°F rather than allowing sharper drops typical under clear, calm nights. Trader odds spread across the 68–75°F bins reflect this narrow uncertainty band, as small shifts in cloud timing or wind could nudge the exact low by a degree or two before resolution. Updated NWS briefings and evening model runs will provide the final calibration.
