Forecast consensus from National Weather Service models and observational data points to a minimum temperature in the mid-60s°F for Los Angeles on September 20, driven by moderate onshore flow, marine layer influence, and limited radiational cooling under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Historical September averages near 63°F provide context, while recent days have seen lows of 65–66°F. The near-even split between the 64–65°F and 57°F-or-below outcomes reflects trader focus on variables such as dew point depression, wind speed, and potential for denser fog or clearer breaks that could enhance overnight cooling. Updated model runs and official minimum readings from stations like Los Angeles International Airport will determine resolution as the calendar day concludes.
