Mark Keough holds a commanding position in the 2026 Montgomery County Judge race as the Republican incumbent seeking a third term. He secured the GOP nomination in the March primary with 51% against challenger Wayne Mack and faces Democrat James Graf, who ran unopposed in his primary. Montgomery County’s consistent Republican margins in recent cycles, combined with Keough’s emphasis on property tax reductions, law enforcement funding, and infrastructure priorities, underpin trader consensus around his strong reelection prospects. Early voting begins in October ahead of the November 3 general election. Potential shifts could stem from unusually high Democratic turnout, late developments in the general campaign, or unexpected changes in local voter sentiment in this historically Republican-leaning area.
