The Parti Québécois holds a strong trader consensus lead for the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election due to sustained polling advantages among decided voters, especially francophones, where support consistently exceeds 34-37 percent. Recent surveys through early August show the PQ ahead at roughly 30 percent overall, ahead of the PLQ and CAQ, with seat projections reflecting its regional concentration that favors majority outcomes under Quebec's electoral map. The CAQ's position reflects modest gains under new leader Christine Fréchette following François Legault's resignation, while the PLQ has stabilized under Charles Milliard but trails in key demographics. High undecided voter shares and the three-way race structure leave room for shifts, though current polling trends and historical patterns of francophone voter alignment underpin the implied probabilities.
