Recent July CPI data showed China's annual inflation easing to 0.5% year-over-year amid declining food prices and subdued non-food pressures, reflecting persistent weak domestic demand and a prolonged property sector slump. Traders see similar conditions likely persisting into August, supporting the narrow lead for the 0.5%-0.6% band over 0.7%-0.8%. Soft consumer spending, moderating transport costs, and lower oil prices continue to anchor expectations near recent lows. Separation could emerge from stronger-than-anticipated fiscal support boosting demand, shifts in global commodity prices, or official data revisions that alter the trajectory before the September release.
