Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Houston indicate a high near 93°F on September 13 under mostly sunny skies transitioning to a 30-40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with heat indices near 103°F amid southerly flow and high humidity. This aligns closely with the market's leading 92-93°F (47.5%) and 94-95°F (32.5%) outcomes, as models show limited afternoon cooling from convection that rarely prevents peaks in the low-to-mid 90s during this climatological window. Nearby observations and ensemble guidance reinforce modest day-to-day consistency, with the 90-91°F bucket at 18% capturing downside risks from earlier or heavier rain. Trader positioning reflects the narrow uncertainty band typical for short-range temperature resolution.
