**Current short-range forecasts from sources like WeatherBug and the National Weather Service indicate an overnight low in the lower to mid-60s°F for Los Angeles on September 2, 2026, aligning closely with the market's leading 64-65°F outcome at 64.5% implied probability.** Typical early-September conditions feature a marine layer that moderates nighttime radiative cooling along the coast, producing average lows near 64.7°F historically. Recent model guidance shows partly cloudy skies with southwest winds around 15 mph, supporting lows around 63-65°F at representative stations such as LAX or downtown, rather than sharper drops. The elevated odds on 72°F or higher (48.5%) and warmer brackets likely reflect trader awareness of variability between microclimates or potential model shifts, while probabilities on 60-61°F (47.5%) and 53°F or below (45.0%) capture the smaller chance of enhanced marine-layer cooling or measurement differences. No major heat wave or strong offshore flow is indicated in the latest runs, keeping the distribution centered on the mid-60s. Traders appear to be weighting the consensus forecast heavily while pricing in residual uncertainty ahead of any tropical moisture influences later in the Labor Day period.
