Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance point to a Saturday overnight low in central New York City between the low and mid-60s Fahrenheit, with northeasterly winds of 8–12 mph and partly to mostly cloudy skies limiting radiational cooling after Friday’s frontal passage. This setup produces the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around the 60–65 °F bins, as small differences in boundary-layer moisture and wind speed can shift the minimum by a degree or two. Historical September climatology for Central Park shows average lows near 60 °F, so current conditions sit slightly above normal yet remain sensitive to any late-model adjustments in cloud cover or wind before the minimum is reached around dawn on the 19th. Traders are therefore watching the next NWS update and high-resolution model runs for refinements to the exact threshold.
