Broward County's heavily Democratic voter base and consistent support for Democratic candidates in recent statewide races underpin Angie Nixon's commanding 93.5% implied probability of carrying the county in the November 3, 2026, special U.S. Senate election. Nixon secured the Democratic nomination in the August 18 primary by defeating Alex Vindman, consolidating support among progressive and local voters in the South Florida county. Incumbent Republican Ashley Moody, who easily won her primary, benefits from statewide name recognition and fundraising but faces structural headwinds in this urban, diverse electorate. Late shifts in turnout patterns or unexpected national developments could narrow margins, though historical county results indicate limited scope for an upset.
