Ashley Moody holds a 66% implied probability of carrying Miami-Dade County in the November 2026 Florida U.S. Senate special election, ahead of Democratic nominee Angie Nixon at 46.5%. Moody, the Republican appointee and former state attorney general, benefits from the county’s evolving voter patterns amid Florida’s broader rightward shift and strong Republican performance in recent cycles. Nixon’s August primary victory over Alex Vindman, despite limited fundraising, showed unexpected strength in parts of Miami-Dade, yet her Democratic Socialists of America affiliation and platform face headwinds in a county with sizable anti-socialist Hispanic communities. Statewide polling from July showed Moody ahead by roughly eight points overall, with no post-primary surveys isolating the county. Traders appear to weigh these structural and demographic factors alongside Moody’s incumbency advantage in assessing the local outcome.
