Recent NWS Denver-Boulder forecasts and model guidance indicate a Sunday high near 89–91°F, with partly sunny skies giving way to a 40–50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms that limit peak heating. This places the market’s leading 88–89°F bin slightly ahead of 86–87°F and 90–91°F bins because increased cloud cover and boundary-layer moisture from upstream convection are expected to cap temperatures below the clearer, hotter conditions seen Saturday. Diurnal heating under southwesterly flow will still support upper-80s readings at Denver International Airport, while any earlier or stronger storms could shave a degree or two; conversely, delayed convection would favor the low-90s outcome. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion remain the key near-term catalysts.
