Forecast models from the National Weather Service and major providers converge on a Sunday maximum near 95–96°F in Houston, with mostly sunny skies, light southerly winds, and heat indices exceeding 100°F under persistent high pressure and Gulf moisture. This late-summer pattern favors the market’s leading 96–97°F and 94–95°F bins by limiting cloud cover and mixing while allowing strong daytime heating; any scattered afternoon convection would cap rather than boost the peak. Recent days have shown similar 96–99°F readings without significant cooling, reinforcing trader consensus around upper-90s outcomes while leaving modest probability for slight model shifts or localized variations on resolution day.
