**Forecast consensus points to a Houston minimum in the upper 70s on August 30, with National Weather Service guidance and multiple models showing overnight lows of 77–81 °F under mostly clear skies and light southeast winds.** High dew points near 70–75 °F will limit radiational cooling despite calm conditions and minimal cloud cover, while Houston’s urban heat island further anchors temperatures above the long-term late-August climatological average of roughly 75–77 °F. The closely matched market buckets around 76–79 °F reflect this narrow range of expected outcomes, with small differences in wind speed, dew-point depression, or timing of any stray clouds able to shift the daily minimum by 1–2 °F. No significant frontal passages or tropical moisture surges are indicated in the short term.
