This market will resolve according to the winner of the Republican Primary for Governor of New York, scheduled to take place on June 23, 2026. Resolution will be based on the overall winner of the primary, including any potential second round or run-off. If no 2026 New York Gubernatorial Republican Primary takes place, this market will resolve to “Other.” The resolution source for this market will be the first official announcement of the results from the New York Republican Party; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman holds a commanding lead in the Republican primary for New York governor following U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik’s withdrawal from the race in December 2025 and President Donald Trump’s subsequent endorsement. The state Republican Party formally designated Blakeman its nominee at the February convention, consolidating support and leaving minimal room for challengers ahead of the June primary. Other candidates, including Pat Hahn and Betsy McCaughey, have not generated measurable momentum or institutional backing. Late petition filings or unforeseen party realignments before the ballot closes could still alter the outcome, though current alignments make such shifts improbable.
