Recent polls ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election show the Parti Québécois leading popular vote intentions at roughly 30%, ahead of the PLQ near 25% and CAQ around 13-20%, with seat projections from models such as 338Canada and Polling Canada indicating a strong PQ majority. This positioning stems from sustained PQ strength among francophone voters, gains in recent by-elections, and the first-past-the-post system amplifying its regional advantages. The CAQ has experienced a sharp drop from its 2022 majority amid leadership transition to Christine Fréchette, while the PLQ under Charles Milliard has stabilized but not closed the gap. Traders appear to price these polling trends and structural factors into the current implied probabilities.
