Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources converge on a minimum temperature of 68–71°F for New York City on September 11, 2026, driven by a northwest flow behind a weak cold front that limits overnight radiational cooling while maintaining above-average warmth. Recent Central Park observations show overnight lows in the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies and light winds, supporting the current market weighting toward the 70–71°F bin. Historical September climatology places the average low near 63°F, so the warmer guidance reflects persistent southerly moisture and minimal cloud cover expected overnight. Traders are monitoring the next NWS forecast update and any shifts in the 00Z or 12Z model runs for potential adjustments to dew point or wind speed that could alter the low by a degree or two.
