Nicolet-Bécancour remains a tight three-way contest ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, with trader odds clustered around Guillaume Langlois (PCQ), Jérôme Gagnon (PQ), and incumbent Donald Martel (CAQ). Recent candidate confirmations—Gagnon’s May 2026 PQ nomination win and Langlois’s June announcement as a local physician emphasizing health reform—have kept the race competitive. Provincial polling trends show CAQ, PQ, and PCQ dividing support in this Centre-du-Québec riding, where 2022 results and transposed projections indicate a fragmented electorate. The nomination deadline of September 17 and absence of major late developments sustain uncertainty, with no single candidate establishing a decisive edge in local or aggregate forecasts.
