The San Luis Potosí gubernatorial race for 2027 remains fragmented, with no candidate exceeding low- to mid-30s implied probabilities amid a wide field of contenders from PVEM, Morena, PRI, PAN, and MC. Incumbent Ricardo Gallardo Cardona is term-limited, shifting focus to potential successors including his wife Senator Ruth González Silva, who leads some early internal PVEM surveys. Other profiles such as Enrique Galindo Ceballos, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, Verónica Rodríguez Hernández, and Marco Antonio Gama Basarte appear in party preference polls and positioning efforts, but none has secured a clear advantage. Primary contests, coalition negotiations, and upcoming surveys through late 2026 could consolidate support or open pathways for additional entrants before the June 2027 vote.
