The Zacatecas gubernatorial race for 2027 remains highly fragmented more than ten months before the vote, with trader-implied probabilities reflecting a crowded field of over two dozen aspirants and no candidate above 34 percent. Morena-aligned figures such as Ulises Mejía Haro and Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar hold the strongest party-brand positioning in recent surveys, yet internal coalition talks involving the PT and Verde and lingering questions over final nominees continue to split support. Opposition contenders including Miguel Ángel Varela Pinedo and Julia Arcelia Olguín Serna draw localized backing but lack statewide consolidation. This dispersion, typical of open-seat contests without an incumbent, keeps individual odds compressed while scheduled party conventions and polling updates through late 2026 could consolidate preferences and widen gaps among frontrunners.
