Recent Swedish polling shows Vänsterpartiet and Miljöpartiet locked in a tight race for fourth- or fifth-place support ahead of the 13 September Riksdag election, with most surveys placing both parties between 6.3% and 7.8% and V holding a marginal edge in the latest Novus and Demoskop readings. This narrow gap underpins the market’s slim 51% consensus for V receiving more votes. The broader centre-left bloc maintains a modest lead over the governing Tidö parties, yet neither small party has registered decisive momentum from campaign events, gender or regional turnout patterns, or policy contrasts on climate, welfare, and migration. Late shifts in voter mobilization among left-leaning or green-leaning cohorts, or any surprise movement in overall bloc preferences, could still determine which party finishes ahead.
