Recent forecasts from models including those aligned with Servicio Meteorológico Nacional guidance point to a peak temperature near 23–24°C in Mexico City on September 8, driven by persistent cloud cover, elevated humidity, and scattered afternoon showers typical of the early rainy season at 2,240 m elevation. These conditions limit solar heating and promote evaporative cooling, keeping maxima below the seasonal climatological peak near 25°C. Trader consensus around 23–24°C versus lower odds for 25°C or higher reflects model agreement on limited afternoon clearing, while the narrow spread versus 22°C outcomes highlights sensitivity to exact thunderstorm timing and any late-day wind shifts that could alter boundary-layer mixing. Official observations tomorrow will resolve the market based on the daily maximum at standard reporting stations.
