Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model runs indicate a high temperature for Los Angeles on September 8 centered in the mid-to-upper 80s under a heat advisory, with partly cloudy conditions, light onshore winds, and low shower chances supporting the market's heaviest weighting on 86-87°F. Coastal marine layer moderation and typical early-September climatology (historical average high near 77°F) limit upside risk, while inland heating and any reduction in cloud cover could push readings toward 88-89°F. Updated afternoon observations and final NWS verification will resolve the market, with current trader consensus reflecting the narrow spread between official guidance and localized warming potential.
