Recent National Weather Service forecasts for New York City on September 10 project a high near 86–87°F under partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of showers, aligning closely with private model runs showing similar values amid a warm, humid air mass and light west-southwest flow. This places the market-implied probability heavily on the 86–87°F bin as the consensus outcome, above the early-September normal of roughly 79°F. Recent observations from Central Park, with highs of 80–84°F on the prior two days, support modest warming without strong cold-air advection or extensive cloud cover to suppress temperatures. Model consensus remains tight, though minor shifts in timing of any showers or boundary-layer mixing could nudge the actual high into the adjacent 84–85°F or 88–89°F ranges before resolution.
