**Forecast consensus points to a daily minimum near 61°F for Chicago on September 10, driven by a cold front passage and northerly winds following Wednesday’s storms.** After humid, stormy conditions on the 9th with lows in the upper 60s, a shift to north winds of 5–10 mph and clearing skies overnight will promote radiational cooling under high pressure. This aligns with climatological norms (average low 61.1°F) and model guidance from NWS and other sources showing 60–62°F. The closely matched 49% odds on 57°F or below versus 76°F or higher reflect lingering uncertainty in exact cloud cover and wind timing, which can swing overnight lows by several degrees. New model runs and NWS updates over the next 48 hours will likely tighten the distribution around the 60–63°F ranges that historically resolve similar setups.
