**Forecast models and official guidance from the Met Office and European centers point to a high of 19–21°C in London on September 8, 2026, as the most probable outcome.** A weakening frontal system is expected to bring light rain, increased cloud cover, and southwesterly winds, limiting daytime heating after warmer conditions earlier in the week. Afternoon temperatures are projected to peak near 20°C under mostly cloudy skies, with some model runs showing brief clearer spells that could allow a brief push toward 21°C. This aligns with the market-implied probabilities, where 20°C leads at 38.5%, followed by 19°C (25.5%) and 21°C (23.5%). These outcomes reflect the current consensus among numerical weather prediction models, which show modest uncertainty in exact cloud timing and shower intensity—factors that can shift the daily maximum by 1–2°C. Historical September averages for London highs hover near 20°C, providing additional context for traders evaluating the range. Updated model runs and official forecasts over the next 24 hours will be the key near-term drivers of any probability shifts.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eglc
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
