**Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to mostly sunny conditions on September 7 with light variable winds shifting northwest, supporting a daily high in the upper 70s.** San Francisco’s marine layer and typical onshore flow from the Pacific often cap temperatures, but clearing skies and reduced cloud cover on the 6th have set the stage for modest warming above the long-term September 7 average of roughly 70°F. Forecasts from multiple sources cluster between the mid-70s and low-80s, with the tightest consensus around 75–79°F depending on the exact timing of any remaining marine influence or afternoon sea breeze. This scientific setup—clearer skies allowing greater solar heating while coastal moderation prevents extremes—explains why market-implied odds concentrate on the 78–79°F and 80–81°F bins as the most probable outcomes. Traders appear to weigh the latest model runs and historical analogs showing occasional late-summer warm spells in the upper 70s when high pressure builds offshore. Key upcoming data points include the next NWS forecast update and any revised model guidance on wind patterns or marine layer depth, which could shift probabilities if onshore flow strengthens or weakens.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksfo
This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button.
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
