Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts indicate Atlanta’s September 1 overnight low will settle in the mid-70s under a strong high-pressure ridge, light southeast winds, and minimal cloud cover that limits radiational cooling. This setup, following an extended period of above-average warmth, keeps the expected daily minimum near 73–77 °F—well above the long-term early-September climatological average of ~69 °F. Market-implied odds favoring 67 °F or below reflect trader assessment of residual model spread and the possibility of a slightly stronger nocturnal cooling episode, while elevated probability on 86 °F or higher captures the chance that daytime heat lingers into the evening. Updated model runs and any shift in steering flow over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could adjust these probabilities before resolution.
