US allies continue to rely on extended US nuclear deterrence rather than pursuing independent arsenals, with recent reaffirmations from Japan and South Korea against acquiring their own weapons. NATO enhancements, including dual-capable F-35 deployments and UK plans to join nuclear sharing arrangements in the mid-2030s, strengthen collective posture under US command and control without new national programs. Ongoing US modernization of delivery systems and warheads, alongside trilateral cooperation among Washington, Tokyo, and Seoul, reinforces alliance cohesion. No verifiable official actions or breakthroughs indicate any non-nuclear US ally could field an independent nuclear capability before 2027, aligning with trader consensus on the low likelihood of such an outcome.

If a US ally participates in a nuclear sharing agreement that does not include independent control over nuclear weapons, this will not qualify for "Yes" resolution. Only full control over an operational nuclear weapon will count. Any admission from Israel of the possession of a nuclear weapon will not qualify for a "Yes" resolution.
For the purposes of this market, a "US ally" is defined as a country that is a member of NATO or a Major Non-NATO Ally (https://www.state.gov/major-non-nato-ally-status/) as of November 12, 2025. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
