This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zhhh If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models for Wuhan on August 30, 2026, consistently point to a minimum temperature near 25–27°C, aligning with the market's strongest implied probability on 27°C (59%).** Multiple sources, including PredictWind, Yr.no, and local meteorological guidance, project overnight lows in this range under mostly cloudy to overcast skies with periods of light to moderate rain. The key driver is the peripheral flow from distant typhoon activity, which is expected to deliver increased cloud cover, precipitation (small to moderate amounts), and northerly winds of 3–5 on the Beaufort scale with gusts. These conditions reduce daytime heating and limit radiative cooling overnight, keeping the daily minimum from dropping sharply while also capping the high near 32–34°C. Historical late-August baselines for Wuhan show typical lows of 26–28°C under similar humid subtropical patterns, so current guidance reflects a modest cooling influence rather than an extreme shift. **Uncertainty remains around rainfall intensity and exact wind patterns, which could push the minimum a few degrees lower toward the 22°C-or-below outcome (39% implied probability) if heavier showers or stronger advection occur.** Traders appear to weigh the consensus from official and numerical weather prediction runs heavily, with lower-probability outcomes like 32°C+ (3%) reflecting the low likelihood of sustained clear, calm conditions that would allow greater overnight cooling or retention of heat. New model runs or updated local observations on the 29th–30th could refine these probabilities as the event nears resolution.
