Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate Atlanta's low on September 4 will likely fall in the mid-70s, with most guidance clustering near 74–76°F amid a persistent warm airmass, high dew points near 70°F, and light southeast winds limiting nocturnal cooling under mostly clear skies. This aligns with the market's near-even split between the 74–75°F and 76–77°F bins at 43% each, reflecting trader assessment of minimal radiational cooling potential during the ongoing early-September heat wave that has produced above-normal overnight temperatures. Subtle model differences in boundary-layer mixing or any late-day cloud cover introduce modest uncertainty around the exact threshold, while climatological norms near 69°F underscore how anomalous conditions favor the warmer bins. Updated model runs and official NWS briefings remain the key near-term catalysts.
