Morocco's September 23 legislative elections feature a fragmented field where the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) holds a modest edge in trader pricing over the ruling National Rally of Independents (RNI) and other contenders. The RNI-PAM-Istiqlal coalition government faces voter dissatisfaction with economic conditions and governance, compounded by RNI's leadership transition to Mohamed Chaouki after Aziz Akhannouch stepped aside. The proportional electoral system and historical patterns of no single-party majority sustain tight probabilities across multiple parties. Recent coalition coordination on infrastructure and social programs provides incumbency advantages, while upcoming campaign launches from September 10 could shift momentum through turnout mobilization or policy differentiation among urban and rural voters.
