Recent Swedish opinion polls ahead of the September 13, 2026, Riksdag election show Vänsterpartiet maintaining a modest but consistent edge over Kristdemokraterna in voting intentions, typically placing V in the 7–9% range and KD between 4–7%. This differential underpins the trader consensus reflected in current market pricing. V benefits from its alignment within the broader red-green opposition bloc, while KD participates in the governing Tidö arrangement alongside Moderaterna and Liberals, with external support from Sverigedemokraterna, amid broader right-bloc softness in surveys. Multiple firms, including Novus, Indikator, and SCB data from May through July, have reinforced V’s relative strength, with limited recent events or leadership shifts altering the ordering in the final campaign weeks. Turnout patterns and bloc mobilization could still narrow or reverse the gap before election day.
