Recent retail egg prices, as tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, have stabilized near $2.14–$2.19 per dozen in June and July 2026 after sharp declines from 2025 peaks above $6. This reflects a pronounced supply rebound following highly pathogenic avian influenza losses, with layer flocks rebuilt aggressively and wholesale values dropping below 70 cents amid oversupply and softer post-holiday demand. Elevated imports in 2025 further eased shortages while feed and production costs remain elevated for producers. With no major outbreaks reported recently and inventories near multi-year highs, trader-implied probabilities cluster in the $2.10–$2.40 range, consistent with the latest monthly averages and limited near-term catalysts before August resolution.
