Recent opinion polls for Sweden’s September 13 parliamentary election show the Social Democrats leading overall while the Sweden Democrats maintain a narrow but steady edge over the Moderate Party for second place. The governing Tidö coalition has experienced gradual erosion in support amid economic pressures and policy implementation, whereas the Sweden Democrats have held their ground on immigration and related voter priorities. This pattern, consistent across multiple surveys through mid-August, drives the strong market consensus on Sweden Democrats finishing second, with the Moderate Party positioned as a distant alternative only if late shifts materialize before election day.
