This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Ben Gurion International Airport in degrees Celsius on 9 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LLBG If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts and real-time observations for Tel Aviv on September 9, 2026, point to a daily maximum near 32°C under clear, sunny skies with light northwesterly winds.** Multiple meteorological sources, including model runs and station data, show temperatures climbing from morning lows around 24–26°C to afternoon peaks of 31–32°C, with some localized readings or slight model variations supporting a brief push to 33°C. This aligns with the market's heavy weighting toward 33°C (60.5% implied probability) and 34°C (38.0%), as traders interpret the consensus trajectory and ongoing insolation as favoring these bins over lower or higher extremes. Key scientific drivers include persistent high pressure maintaining cloud-free conditions, which maximizes solar radiation and surface heating in the urban coastal setting, combined with low humidity and moderate winds that limit evaporative cooling. September climatology in the region typically features highs around 29–30°C, but the current stable, dry air mass has allowed temperatures to exceed that baseline modestly. No significant frontal activity or marine layer influence is evident, keeping the risk of underperformance low while capping upside potential absent unexpected warming. Upcoming resolution will hinge on official maximum readings from local stations, with any late-afternoon model adjustments or microclimate effects potentially shifting the final value within the narrow 32–34°C window. The tight clustering of probabilities reflects high confidence in the overall warm, settled pattern but genuine uncertainty around the precise peak.
