Incoming cold air from northern China is driving a sharp cooldown in Wuhan, with official forecasts from the local meteorological observatory projecting a low near 18°C on September 17 amid overcast skies, light-to-moderate rain, and northerly winds of 3–5 on the Beaufort scale. This marks a roughly 10°C drop from recent highs near 30°C, consistent with seasonal transition but below the typical September overnight minimum of about 21°C. Ensemble model spread creates uncertainty around exact overnight readings, keeping market-implied odds nearly even between sub-14°C and 24°C-plus outcomes while clustering probability on the 17–20°C range. Updated NHC-style regional guidance and real-time station data in the next 48 hours will likely narrow the resolution window.
