In the Montarville riding, trader consensus reflects a tight contest for the October 5 Quebec National Assembly seat, with incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Nathalie Roy and Parti Québécois challenger Jean-François Cloutier holding nearly even implied probabilities near 45 percent. Projections from 338Canada and similar models show a narrow CAQ edge or toss-up, driven by the riding's recent history of CAQ strength alongside rising PQ support on sovereignty and identity issues. Liberal and Québec solidaire candidates trail, while the ongoing nomination period through mid-September and fragmented provincial polling keep the outcome uncertain until advance voting and final turnout patterns emerge.
