Forecast models from major centers indicate Mexico City’s overnight low on September 18 will likely settle near 13–15 °C, with the 14 °C outcome currently carrying the highest market-implied probability. At 2,240 m elevation, radiational cooling under clear or partly cloudy skies, combined with the city’s urban heat-island effect and surrounding basin topography, creates narrow differences between these thresholds. Ensemble guidance shows modest spread due to variable moisture from the Pacific and potential weak frontal passages, while historical September climatology places typical minima around 11–14 °C. Updated model runs tonight and early-morning observations will determine whether the low edges toward 13 °C or holds above 15 °C before resolution.
