The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the London City Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/gb/london/EGLC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until all data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Ensemble forecasts from the Met Office and ECMWF currently center London’s maximum temperature on May 18 near 14–16 °C, driving the market’s strongest implied probabilities toward 15 °C and its immediate neighbors. A broad Atlantic low-pressure system is directing scattered showers and moderate westerly winds across southern England, suppressing daytime insolation and promoting turbulent mixing that caps surface warming. Minor variations in shower timing, cloud cover, or wind direction within these models can readily alter the realized high by 1–2 °C, which explains the balanced weighting across the 14 °C and 16 °C outcomes. Historical mid-May climatology for the region supports this range, while the next official guidance update will further narrow uncertainty ahead of final station observations.
