Israeli forces advanced north of Lebanon's Litani River during the 2026 Lebanon war and subsequent ceasefire violations, seizing positions including Beaufort Castle in May and issuing evacuation orders extending toward the Zahrani River. A U.S.-brokered April ceasefire and June framework agreement established pilot zones for phased IDF withdrawals in exchange for Lebanese Armed Forces deployment and Hezbollah's removal from areas south of the Litani, though Israeli officials including Defense Minister Israel Katz have conditioned full pullbacks on verified security guarantees and clearance of remaining militant infrastructure. Recent diplomatic talks in Washington and statements from Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasize buffer zones persisting until threats subside, with partial withdrawals already underway in select sectors as of late June. Trader assessments hinge on compliance timelines, LAF operational capacity, and risks of renewed clashes before any firm withdrawal deadline.

For this market to resolve to "Yes" it is sufficient that Israel announces its ground forces have withdrawn from all Lebanese territory beyond the Litani River, regardless of if some specified territory remains under their control or ground incursions by Israeli forces continue. However, an announcement of a planned or future withdrawal will not suffice.
The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the Israeli government, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting confirming that Israel has withdrawn may also be used.
