**Consensus National Weather Service and model guidance points to a high near 98–100 °F in Austin on August 31 under mostly sunny skies with light southerly winds and negligible rain chances.** Persistent high pressure supports strong daytime heating and minimal cloud cover, while typical late-August moisture keeps heat indices elevated without significantly boosting air temperatures. Recent forecast runs have remained stable, with no incoming fronts or increased moisture expected to alter the thermal profile before Monday. This tight clustering around the upper 90s to low 100s explains the heavy market weighting on the 98–99 °F and 100–101 °F bins, reflecting traders’ assessment of the narrow uncertainty range in official guidance.
