Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and other models positions 98–101°F as the most likely range for Austin’s highest temperature on August 30, with official guidance calling for sunny skies, southerly winds, and highs near 99–100°F under continued high pressure. This reflects typical late-summer ridging across central Texas, where August averages near 95°F but recent patterns have delivered frequent 100°F+ readings; minimal cloud cover and low rain chances (under 20%) support minimal cooling from mixing or evaporation. Model agreement remains strong with limited spread, though slight upward revisions could occur if afternoon heating exceeds expectations or if urban heat-island effects push readings higher. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations on August 30 will provide the final data for market resolution.
